I have maintained a longstanding fascination for rhythmic and geometric pattern which I observe in both natural forms and and manmade artifacts. A much loved source of inspiration is the decorative Art of Islam. The spiral, which for me represents time is a favourite theme. Its possibilities are almost equalled by those of the equilateral triangle.

Like any working artist my interests and passions for the earth continue to develop and change, so that my work changes with respect to use of materials, clolour and content. While some pieces have been inspired by seemingly old pieces of litter others may stem from meditation. I gain joy from working with and teaching groups of adults and especially children.
